What sets Dela apart

Kallie Pothier, FNP, MSCP — one of the few certified menopause specialists in Utah County

The Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential is the gold standard in evidence-based menopause care. Most providers never earn it. Kallie did, because the women who come to Dela deserve a provider who has gone the extra mile.

1 in 3

Women going through menopause say their provider has never brought up the topic in an appointment, according to The Menopause Society.

Most providers in Orem were never trained for this.

Menopause has historically been undertaught in medical education. The result is that women in Orem are often told their symptoms are stress, anxiety, or just aging. They leave without answers and without a plan.

Dela was built specifically to close that gap. We do not treat menopause as an afterthought. It is the entire focus of what we do, and we bring a level of training and testing to it that most clinics simply cannot offer.

Three things menopause does that most providers miss

Menopause is not just hot flashes. Here are three of the most commonly overlooked ways it affects women's daily lives.

01

It affects your brain, not just your body

Brain fog, memory lapses, and difficulty concentrating are real hormonal symptoms, not signs of early dementia or burnout. Estrogen plays a direct role in cognitive function and when it declines, many women notice it immediately.

02

It starts years before your last period

Perimenopause can begin in your late 30s while your cycles are still regular. Mood changes, sleep disruption, and weight shifts that appeared years before your last period may all have been hormonal. Most women are never told this.

03

Standard labs almost always miss it

A basic blood panel does not tell you what is happening with your hormones. A proper workup includes estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, and full thyroid markers, tested at the right time and interpreted together. That is what we do at Dela.

Your provider

Kallie did not guess at your answers. She studied for them.

Kallie Pothier is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, one of the few in Utah County. She built Dela Women's Health in Pleasant Grove because she saw too many women leaving appointments in Orem, Provo, and across Utah County without real answers.

The MSCP is not an honorary title. It requires passing a comprehensive examination in evidence-based menopause care. Kallie earned it because she believes the women who come to Dela deserve a provider who has done the work.

Her approach is straightforward. Test everything that matters. Explain what you find. Build a plan around the real numbers, not a standard protocol that was not designed with you in mind.

Common questions

Questions from Orem women

How far is Dela from Orem?+
Dela Women's Health is located in Pleasant Grove, about 12 minutes from Orem via I-15. We also offer telehealth appointments for women throughout Utah who prefer to start from home.
What makes Dela different from other providers in the Orem area?+
Kallie Pothier is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, a credential that requires passing a comprehensive examination in evidence-based menopause care. Most general providers in the area have not pursued this level of specialized training. At Dela you also get longer visits, a full hormone panel rather than basic labs, and a care plan built around your actual results.
I have been told my symptoms are just stress or anxiety. Could hormones actually be the cause?+
Yes, and this is one of the most common things we hear from new patients. Mood changes, anxiety, sleep disruption, and fatigue are all well-documented symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. Without a proper hormone panel it is impossible to know what is actually driving your symptoms. We run the full picture so you have real answers, not assumptions.
Am I too young to be in perimenopause?+
No. Perimenopause can start as early as your mid-30s. The average age of menopause is 51 but the hormonal shift leading up to it can begin 10 to 15 years before that. If something has felt off for the past year or two, your hormones are worth testing regardless of your age.
Is hormone therapy safe?+
Modern, evidence-based hormone therapy is safe for the vast majority of women and has been shown to significantly improve quality of life during perimenopause and menopause. As an MSCP certified provider, Kallie stays current on the latest research and will walk you through all your options so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you.
